Meta-analysis2024

Daily multivitamin-mineral use modestly slowed decline in global cognition and episodic memory over 2 years in adults aged 60 and over.

COSMOS trial clinic subcohort (573 people) plus meta-analysis of 3 COSMOS cognitive substudies (about 5,200 adults aged 60+); daily multivitamin improved global cognition and episodic memory versus placebo. Tested a full-dose multivitamin, higher than this product.

RCT2003

A daily multivitamin and mineral supplement reduced reported infections over one year versus placebo, mainly in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Double-blind RCT, 130 adults aged 45+ for 1 year; 43% on the supplement reported an infection versus 73% on placebo, and infection-related absence from work fell from 57% to 21%.

RCT2023

A daily multivitamin-mineral improved or maintained blood vitamin levels (B6, vitamin D, vitamin E, beta-carotene) in healthy men over 67.

Double-blind RCT, 35 healthy men over 67 for at least 6 months; the multivitamin raised blood vitamin B6, vitamin D, vitamin E and beta-carotene, while placebo users generally declined.
